iHealthRecord free online service launched

It's interesting that at today's Digital Identity World 2005 conference, I've heard no mention so far of iHealthRecord, a free online service providing "secure and confidential interactive personal health records," launched yesterday. There's an archived video Webcast of the launch. iHealthRecord was created by Medem, a network of 7 major medical societies including the AMA, as well as dozens of other medical societies. Quoting from iHealthRecord's Web site: "The privacy of iHealthRecords will be overseen by the iHealth Alliance a not-for-profit healthcare advisory board established to protect the interests of physicians and patients." I wasn't able to locate any information about who sits on that advisory board.

UPDATES: The first blog post I found on this at Feedster was titled: "A health database waiting to be hacked". Dan Farber tells me that Esther Dyson attended the announcement, so perhaps she'll have a lot to say about it.
