Eclipse + Mono
Once you create open source versions of a leading Java IDE (Eclipse) and the .Net Framework (Mono), what are the synergies of connecting the two? And if you're using JBoss, is three a crowd? Now there's a conversation-starter for this week's EclipseCon and next week's JBoss World. UPDATE: At the March 1 EclipseCon press conference, a reporter asked Eclipse Foundation Executive Director Mike Milinkovich how the Eclipse development environment would integrate with .NET. He gave a vague answer, and I followed up asking him about the Mono community's effort to support Eclipse. Milinkovich hadn't heard about it. But he was obviously delighted to hear about it.
