A good thing Microsoft doesn't make car door locks

Joe Wilcox: "I think Microsoft should push back more security responsibility to customers. Too often, Microsoft is dinged for security mishaps that result from customers not doing enough to protect their PCs. Remember, that Microsoft released a patch that could have prevented Blaster’s spread week’s ahead of the worm’s appearance. Would a car manufacturer be faulted for a stolen car, when the consumer forgot to lock the door or even left the keys in the ignition?" The true situation, however, is that Microsoft, if it were a car manufacturer, would have been hauled into court many times now for manufacturing insecure door locks.
